Description

The 1771-DB BASIC module allows users to incorporate custom BASIC programs directly into their PLC-5 systems, facilitating complex data manipulation, mathematical computations, and communication tasks that may be cumbersome with standard ladder logic. It features two serial ports configurable for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 communication, enabling connectivity with various external devices such as printers, modems, and other controllers. The module includes 13 KB of battery-backed RAM for user programs and 32 KB of EPROM storage for user software routines. It supports block-transfer communication with PLC-2, PLC-3, or PLC-5 family processors and offers on-board program PROM burning capabilities.
