Description

The 5202-DFNT-ASCII4 module serves as a powerful interface, enabling the integration of up to four ASCII devices into an EtherNet/IP network. This stand-alone, DIN-rail-mounted gateway features one Ethernet port and four configurable serial ports supporting RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 communication standards. It supports both Client and Server modes on the EtherNet/IP network, allowing for versatile data exchange with Rockwell Automation PLCs and other compatible devices. The module is ideal for applications where integrating barcode scanners, printers, weigh scales, or other serial devices into an Ethernet-based control system is required.

    • Supports Explicit Messaging.
    • Configurable as both Client and Server.
    • Five independent TCP server sockets for remote client interactions.
  • Serial Ports:
    • Four configurable ports supporting RS-232/422/485.
    • Each port can be independently configured for baud rate, data bits, stop bits, and parity.
    • Transmit and receive buffers of 255 bytes each.
