The IRI-KHD2-4RX serves as a pivotal component in the IDENT-I system by enabling the connection of up to four read/write heads to a higher-order control system, such as a PLC or PC, via serial interfaces like RS232, RS422, RS485, or a 20 mA current loop. This unit supports multiple operating modes, including fixed code and the 3964R protocol with or without the RK512 interpreter, selectable through DIP switches. LED indicators provide real-time status updates for each connected read/write head, ensuring straightforward monitoring and diagnostics. The robust design of the IRI-KHD2-4RX ensures reliable performance in demanding industrial settings.
