The 1746-NR4 module facilitates the integration of up to four RTD sensors or other resistance devices, such as potentiometers, into the SLC 500 PLC system. It supports multiple RTD types, including Platinum (385 and 3916), Copper (416), Nickel (618 and 672), and Nickel-Iron, offering flexibility for diverse industrial applications. The module performs automatic calibration upon enabling channels or modifying input types, ensuring accurate data acquisition. It employs sigma-delta modulation for analog-to-digital conversion and features low-pass digital filtering with programmable frequencies to enhance measurement precision.
