The Allen-Bradley 42SMF-7100 Series B is part of the Series 7000 PHOTOSWITCH® family, engineered to detect objects using fiber optic technology. This sensor operates with a visible red light source, facilitating precise detection in various industrial environments. It features a compact design suitable for installations with limited space and offers a 3-meter cable for flexible connectivity. The sensor operates on a 11–28V DC power supply and provides NPN (sinking) output. Please note that this model has been discontinued by the manufacturer as of July 13, 2016.
