Description

The 42DRP-5000 sensor is part of Allen-Bradley's PHOTOSWITCH® Series 5000, featuring a modular design that includes a photohead and a power base. This configuration allows for quick removal and replacement of the photohead without the need for rewiring or realignment, enhancing flexibility in various applications. The sensor operates on 24V DC and provides both NPN and PNP outputs, accommodating different control system requirements. It offers selectable light/dark operation and utilizes a standard diffuse sensing mode, making it suitable for detecting objects directly without the need for reflectors. The device is equipped with screw terminal connections for straightforward installation. Notably, Rockwell Automation announced that as of February 28, 2023, the Series 5000 Blue Line Sensors, including the 42DRP-5000, have been discontinued and are no longer available for sale.
