Description

Pulsation dampeners like the CT3020NDF-X are installed at the pump discharge to fill with process fluid on the discharge stroke and then release some of that fluid on the suction stroke to maintain a smooth downstream flow. This process protects pumps, piping, valves, fittings, and components from damaging vibrations and fatigue, prevents destructive pressure surges caused by rapid pump startup and shutdown, and ensures a consistent and laminar fluid flow.
