The Pepperl+Fuchs IRI-KHD2-4.RX control interface unit features a versatile serial interface that supports RS 232, RS 422, RS 485, or TTY, providing flexibility in communication with various control systems. It allows the connection of up to four read heads, which can be queried individually or cyclically. The unit's operation modes can be set via DIP switches, including fixed code and protocol 3964R with or without the RK512 interpreter. Additionally, it has LED indicators for each read head, offering visual feedback on operational status.
