The FT-400 features dual transparent acrylic drums, allowing simultaneous testing of two tablet samples. Each drum contains a curved scoop that lifts tablets and drops them from a specified height at a consistent speed, simulating mechanical stress to evaluate tablet friability. The device operates at a drum speed of 25 RPM, driven by a synchronous motor with a non-slip timing belt for precise motion control. Constructed with a polished stainless steel chassis, the FT-400 ensures durability and ease of cleaning. It conforms to U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) testing standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The tester is available in two models: the FT-400-C for drop count tests and the FT-400-T for timed tests, providing flexibility based on testing requirements.
