The 2711P-RN6 module enhances the functionality of PanelView Plus terminals by providing support for multiple communication protocols, including Data Highway Plus (DH+), Remote I/O (RIO), and Data Highway 485 (DH-485). This versatility allows operators to monitor process statuses, perform program uploads and downloads, and execute supervisory controls across different network configurations. The module supports up to 32 devices on the network and allows for the addition or removal of nodes without disrupting ongoing operations. It requires specific cabling for each protocol, such as the 1770-CD or Belden Blue Hose cable for DH+ connections. LED indicators provide real-time status updates for network connections, aiding in diagnostics and maintenance.
